AWS integration: costs, cache, DNS and backups

Letaido's AWS integration lets an AI agent track AWS costs, clear the CloudFront cache, add Route 53 records and back up to S3.

How the AWS integration works

Connect AWS once. After that, you describe each job in plain English.

  1. 1Paste an AWS access key
  2. 2Ask for a job in a chat, or start from an example above
  3. 3Approve the first run

Allow all read operations once per app; approve each kind of write once.

  4. 4Watch the first run in the chat

Save it to run on your schedule.

How an AWS job starts

A schedule starts the job, or you do by asking. AWS has no events in Letaido.

  • On a scheduleEvery morning for cost spikes, every Monday for 404 pages, or once a month for costs and backups.
  • When you askType the job in a chat, like clearing the cache after a page update, and it runs once.
Setup details

Create an IAM user

In the AWS console, open IAM, then Users, and create a user for Letaido with no console access. Never use root keys.

Give it only what jobs need

Attach a policy for the services your jobs use, like Cost Explorer read access or one S3 bucket. For cost jobs, turn on Cost Explorer once in the Billing console.

Paste the access key

Create an access key for an application running outside AWS, paste the key ID and secret into Letaido, and pick a default region.

Watch the first run

Letaido runs the job once in the chat. Allow all read operations once per app; approve each kind of write once. Then save it to repeat.

Every AWS action the agent can take

2,678 actions across 25 AWS services, plus a catch-all for any other service.

Frequently asked

How do I connect AWS to Letaido? +

Create an IAM user for Letaido with no console access, attach a policy, then create an access key and paste the key ID and secret into Letaido with a default region. Root account keys are refused.

Which IAM permissions should I give it? +

Only what your jobs use. A monthly cost report needs Cost Explorer read access; a backup needs write access to one S3 bucket. The agent can never do more than the IAM user is allowed to.

Can an AWS event start a job? +

No. AWS has no events in Letaido, so jobs run on a schedule, like every morning, or when you ask. A daily job can check the last day, such as cost anomalies that ended yesterday or today.

Does it cost anything on my AWS bill? +

Some actions do. AWS bills each Cost Explorer API request and each Athena query by the data it scans, and CloudFront bills invalidation paths past its monthly allowance.

Is there an AWS MCP server? +

Yes. AWS runs a managed MCP server for coding agents such as Claude Code, Kiro and Cursor. It calls AWS APIs with your IAM credentials while you chat. Letaido is not an MCP server: it has its own AWS connector and runs jobs on a schedule with 72 other apps.

Can Claude work with my AWS account? +

Claude Code and other MCP clients can, through the AWS MCP Server, while you chat. Letaido is its own AI agent: connect AWS once and ask in the chat, or save a job to run on a schedule.

What do I approve before it changes anything in AWS? +

Allow all read operations once per app; approve each kind of write once.

Let an AI agent run your AWS jobs

Connect AWS, then ask for a job like "Log last month's AWS costs by service in a Google Sheet every month". Leta gets it done on your schedule, or the moment you ask.
