Shopify buyer tiers as Mailchimp tags
Every morning the agent tags customers whose most recent Shopify order was yesterday as VIP or Repeat buyer in Mailchimp, and tags 120-day lapsed customers.
Combine Mailchimp + Shopify and move audience and campaign data into Shopify, or store data into Mailchimp. Just ask Letaido's AI agent and watch it do the work.
Use this Mailchimp Shopify integration for buyer tags, cart reminders, welcome codes, unsubscribes and new arrivals emails.
Every morning the agent tags customers whose most recent Shopify order was yesterday as VIP or Repeat buyer in Mailchimp, and tags 120-day lapsed customers.
Every hour the agent sends subscribed shoppers' unrecovered Shopify checkouts to Mailchimp with the recovery link, so your cart journey emails them.
When someone subscribes in Mailchimp, the agent creates a single-use Shopify discount code and saves it on their profile for your welcome email.
When someone unsubscribes in Mailchimp, the agent sets their Shopify email consent to unsubscribed and notes which campaign they left from.
Every Monday the agent turns the past week's new Shopify products into a Mailchimp draft and sends you a test, never to your audience.
Mailchimp's own app syncs your store. Leta runs jobs alongside it or instead of it.

| Letaido AI agent | Shopify into Mailchimp, plus discount codes and email consent written back to Shopify | A schedule, a Mailchimp audience event, or a request in chat | Rule-based jobs: buyer tier tags, a welcome code per subscriber, cart events for a journey, unsubscribes as Shopify consent, a weekly new arrivals draft | Not a live sync. Letaido has no Shopify trigger, so orders never start a job. Reading customer emails requires customer data access on your Shopify app |
| Mailchimp for Shopify app | Both ways: customers, orders and store events into Mailchimp, email and SMS activity back to Shopify | Store changes, sent to Mailchimp automatically after the first sync | Keeping Shopify customers and subscription status in one audience, and running Mailchimp's own cart, welcome and back in stock automations | Its automations run inside Mailchimp. Store events shared with Mailchimp are limited when Shopify's GDPR or CCPA settings are on |
| Zapier | Either way | A Shopify or Mailchimp event. Shopify's new order and new customer triggers fire on each change; most Mailchimp triggers poll on an interval | Ready-made recipes, e.g. new Shopify customers into a Mailchimp audience, or new paid orders added as subscribers | Shopify is a Premium app on Zapier, and every successful action step uses a task. Each recipe is its own workflow to set up and maintain |
| CSV export and import | Both ways, by hand: Shopify exports and imports customer CSVs, Mailchimp imports them | You | A one off move of your customer list, with tags picked during the Mailchimp import | You export, import and match columns again every time. Only import people who agreed to email marketing |
A job can start when someone subscribes to your Mailchimp audience or a Mailchimp subscriber unsubscribes, like “Welcome codes for new Mailchimp subscribers”.
Saved as an automation, like these jobs: every morning at 6am, every hour or every Monday at 9am.
Ask in chat; Leta picks from 552 actions.
Allow all read operations once per app; approve each kind of write once.

Yes. Mailchimp's own Shopify app syncs customers, orders and store events into an audience and sends email activity back to Shopify. On top of that, Letaido's AI agent, Leta, runs jobs that follow your rules, for example VIP and lapsed tags or a welcome code per new subscriber.
Connect Mailchimp and Shopify in Letaido one time each. Shopify only shares customer emails once customer data is enabled for your Shopify app (Custom distribution). After that, ask for a job in chat or copy a prompt from a job card above.
Not for these jobs. Leta works with both apps directly, with or without the Mailchimp app installed. You can keep the app for its sync and add Leta for rule-based jobs like the ones above.
No. Jobs start on a schedule, on a Mailchimp audience event, or on request. Letaido has no Shopify event trigger, so an order can't kick off a job; Shopify reads run on the schedule you choose.
Every hour, Leta sends each subscribed shopper's checkout left open 1 to 2 hours ago to Mailchimp as an abandoned_checkout event, with the recovery link, items and total. A Customer Journey you build in Mailchimp that starts on that event sends the email.
When someone subscribes, Leta creates a single-use Shopify code for 10% off, valid 30 days, and saves it in a WELCOME merge field with a Welcome code tag. Create the WELCOME text field in your audience first; your welcome journey sends the code.
When someone unsubscribes from your audience, Leta sets their Shopify email consent to unsubscribed and adds the date and campaign to the customer note. Letaido registers the webhook for you, and emails with no Shopify customer are left alone.
Allow all read operations once per app; approve each kind of write once.
Connect Mailchimp and Shopify, then ask for a job like "Tag our Shopify VIPs, repeat buyers and lapsed customers in Mailchimp". Leta gets it done on your schedule, or the moment you ask.
