How to get the most out of the title generator
The right title approach depends on where your content lives and who you're writing for.
Pick the category before you write anything
A slogan and a book title are not the same job, so the tool does not treat them the same. Choosing a category changes the input you are asked for and the rules the titles are written against.
Blog post and YouTube titles are held to 60 characters, because that is roughly where Google and YouTube truncate. Slogans are held to 45, since a tagline people cannot repeat is not doing its job. Books have no limit, where a longer, more evocative phrase often wins.
Use keywords without forcing them
When you add a target keyword, the tool builds titles around it naturally. If the results feel stuffed or awkward, try a shorter keyword phrase. Instead of 'best project management software for remote teams 2024', use 'project management software' and let the title add context.
For slogans, books, and all-purpose titles the keyword field does not appear at all. Those formats win on clarity and intrigue rather than search optimization, and forcing a keyword into them usually makes them worse.
Pick the right tone for your audience
Professional and formal tones work when your readers expect expertise and credibility. Use them for B2B content, academic topics, or high-stakes subjects like legal or financial advice. Engaging and casual tones fit consumer content, lifestyle topics, and brands that want to feel approachable.
Bold and playful tones grab attention but can backfire if your audience wants straight information. Test them for social posts, product launches, or content aimed at younger demographics, but default to engaging or professional for most business content.
Generate multiple batches before deciding
Your first set of titles shows one direction, but running the tool again with the same inputs often surfaces different angles. Generate two or three batches, then compare to see which approach feels most accurate to your content and most appealing to your audience.
When you add this tool to a Letaido workspace, you can save promising titles from each batch, apply your custom instructions for consistency across projects, and connect the output directly to other tools in your content workflow without copy-pasting between tabs.
